This year’s Wings for All event touched the lives of many and created a positive impact on our communities. We all had a lot of fun helping out and can’t wait to do it again. Below are some official photos from the event!
My name is Whittney Darnell, and I am a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Communication and Information. I am conducting a research study about the experience of caregivers who are currently involved in providing care for a child (under 18) with an intellectual or developmental disability receiving home and community based services through the Michelle P. Waiver.
Participants will be asked to complete an interview (phone or face-to-face) lasting approximately 45 minutes. Eligible participants will receive a $20 Visa gift card. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the uncertainty caregivers experience when navigating the Michelle P. Waiver.
If you are interested, please email Whittney H. Darnell at whemmi0@g.uky.edu or message me directly.

LEX18 recently posted an article and video about our upcoming Wings for All event coming to Lexington Blue Grass Airport November 3rd. Be sure to check out the links below!
The Arc of Kentucky is so excited to partner with the Blue Grass Airport, Delta Air Lines, TSA, Creative Food Group, Employment Solutions, The Arc of Central Kentucky, and The Autism Society of the Bluegrass.
The Wings for All program is an airport rehearsal program created to alleviate some of the stress that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families experience when traveling by air.
