Medicaid Update

Waiver Header

Good Afternoon,

Kentucky Medicaid is beginning the process of implementing electronic visit verification, or EVV, for most 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services waivers. EVV is used to record information when providers deliver in-home services to waiver participants. Per federal requirements, providers of in-home waiver services must begin using EVV by January 1, 2021.

Below you will find two letters, one for waiver providers and one for waiver participants, that contain more information about EVV. Please take a moment to review the applicable letter for more information and next steps.

We look forward to working together with our stakeholders on this exciting change.
