Arc of Kentucky – Self-Empowerment Network
What is Self Advocacy?
Self-Advocacy is individuals with disabilities speaking for themselves. When individuals are given adequate support, they are empowered to make various life decisions that can improve their overall quality of life.
Advocacy is very important to The Arc of Kentucky and we want to help those in the community in the best way possible. Below are several resources that are very helpful for those wanting to become an advocate. If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions regarding advocacy, feel free to contact us at SelfEmpowerment@arcofky.org
The Self Empowerment Network is receiving a small grant, which is provided by the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities.
